Motion Madness

Almost Magic 1

The first in a series of classes using fun techniques to make quick quilts.

The photo above shows the concept: sew the squares together on the left, then cut them twice to sew them back together like the one on the right :) It's almost magic!!

Easy Curves Class

Easy Curves

Learn how to sew curves in this simple Melon Block pattern. It is not as hard as it looks!

Class Description:

This is a three hour technique class. We will not be finishing a quilt top. You will learn how to cut curved shapes using templates and a rotary cutter, set the curved seams, and sew perfect curves and points :)

Only two fabrics are needed for the blocks, preferably  non-directional ones. A feature fabric and a matching blender works well. Depending on how big you want your final quilt to be, you will need between 1 and 2 meters of each of these fabrics.


Basic patchwork/quilting skills required.

Beginners Class Starting Soon!

Beginners' Class

Learn the basics in this class for absolute beginners or for those who have done some quilting and would like to consolidate their skills. Learn how to choose fabrics, rotary cut with confidence and piece nine patches and half square triangles. You will also learn how to pin and sandwich a quilt, stitch-in-the-ditch and cross-hatch, and finally bind your masterpiece.

Class cost: 50 SR per session until the quilt is finished
